THE NEW ME.... ANOTHER DAY ON THE DIET (DAY 18) - A gluten free, natural sugars, less alochol diet.

Fishcake with fried potatoes & coleslaw

Woke up yesterday.  As usual I did my daily blog, tweeted, then caught up on paperwork which seems to be never ending.

Decided to start my free 14 day trial at www.genesreunited.co.uk - a website that helps you plot your family tree, and locate details of births, marriages, deaths.

To understand how easy, or not, it was to use I started with myself.  Luckily I found my birth and marriage details.  I also found details of other relatives as well.  However, the downside is that I only managed to do this based on my own memory to give me a starting point.  Once I had no information about a person, as I never knew them e.g. great grandparents, then I came to a halt.  Where I'm struggling is that on the birth details it will give the name of the person, year of birth (not month), details of where born and mother's maiden surname but no first name and no father's name.  For marriages it gives the person's name, year of marriage, location, surname of spouse, but no birth date of said person.  In some cases I couldn't even locate a person's death, even though they are dead in body at least. This means the details I need will have to be obtained through original certificates which could be costly.  So I'm a little disappointed, but we'll see how we go.

Later, did some cleaning and burned some calories.  Ache again today.  So not much to report.

Diet going OK.  Didn't have time to find a herbal remedy to sleep hence had some wine last night.  Will put it on my 'To do' list for today, so long as I don't blow away with the wind.
